Couldn't Win the Big Game
Some of the best NFL players who played in a Super Bowl but never won one:
Jim Kelly - A Hall of Fame quarterback, Kelly led the Buffalo Bills to four consecutive Super Bowls in the early 1990s, but they lost each time. His resilience and leadership make him one of the most notable figures in this category.
Born #OTD in 1960 Jim Kelly, Buffalo Bills leader in passing yards, completions, attempts, and TDs. Happy Birthday Jim Kelly!

Bruce Smith - The NFL's all-time sack leader, Smith played in four Super Bowls with the Bills alongside Jim Kelly, but like Kelly, he never secured a win. His defensive prowess was unmatched in his era.
Andre Reed - Another member of the Bills' Super Bowl teams, Reed was an exceptional receiver who, despite his individual accolades, also left the Super Bowl without a ring.
Anthony Munoz - Widely considered one of the best offensive linemen ever, Munoz played in two Super Bowls with the Cincinnati Bengals, but both times they were defeated by the San Francisco 49ers.
Thurman Thomas - The Bills' running back during their Super Bowl run in the early '90s, Thomas was a key part of their offensive strategy but never won a championship.
Against the Jets last week, Buffalo Bills running back Thurman Thomas broke O.J. Simpson's career rushing record.
The week before that, he surpassed Simpson in career touchdowns.
Next up for Thomas? An attempt to kill three people at once!

The 2026 Super Bowl will be held February 8th in Santa Clara, California, a democratic hell hole where the 49ers play.
